How May We Help You?

Verified by Visa

Verified by Visa is a global solution designed to make online purchases more secure by helping ensure payments are made by the rightful owner of the Visa account. One of its objectives is to continue to build consumer confidence in online shopping—similar to that in a physical shopping environment.

Verified by Visa often works behind the scenes when you're shopping online. There may be times when you will be asked by your bank to provide more information to confirm the purchase. This helps make certain that you’re the only person using your card online.

Visa offers comprehensive fraud protection, but Verified by Visa goes even a step further, adding an extra layer of security when you enter debit card information online.

ATM Security Tips

Protecting your Card

  • Treat your card as if it were cash.  Report a lost or stolen card immediately.
  • Keep your PIN number a secret.  Don't write your PIN number down or share with anyone, including friends or family.
  • Avoid using a PIN number that would be easily guessed.  This includes birthdates, initials, telephone or social security numbers.
  • Never leave your receipt at an ATM or unguarded in your car or home.  Always shred receipts instead of placing in your household garbage.
  • Be aware of a new scam called "skimming".  This is a device attached to the ATM card reader that captures your card information. If the card reader appears to look unusual or bulky, check with your bank or use an alternate ATM.
  • Always check your ATM receipts against your monthly statement to guard against fraud.

Walk Up ATMS

  • Always observe your surroundings before attempting an ATM transaction. If the machine is obstructed from view or is not well-lit, use an alternate ATM.
  • If possible, use the buddy system by taking a friend or family member with you, especially at night.
  • Perform your transaction as quickly as possible by having your card ready and knowing what type of transaction you are going to do. Put your items away quickly and count your money later.
  • Be sure to block the view of the keypad when entering your PIN and transaction amount.
  • If anyone follows you after completing an ATM transaction, immediately drive to a well-lit, crowded area and alert the police.

Drive-up ATMS

  • Keep your engine running, doors locked, and windows up while waiting in line.
  • Before rolling your window down, observe the entire area. If you see anything suspicious, drive away and use an alternate location.
  • If possible, leave enough room between cars to allow for a quick exit.
  • If anyone follows you after completing an ATM transaction, immediately drive to a well-lit, crowded area and alert the police.

Payroll Direct Deposits

Contact your employer to verify that they offer Direct Deposit. Many employers will provide a form for you to complete and will also ask for a voided check if you are requesting your deposit to be routed to a checking account. You will need to know the account type (checking/savings) along with names of all account owners, account number, and our routing number.

Direct deposits can take one to two check cycles to become effective depending on the issuer. Contact your local banker if you have any questions about Direct Deposit.

eStatements - How to Enroll

Online statements, also known as eStatements, are a great way to save money and protect your identity. We will send you an email notifying you that your eStatement is available for download/viewing through our secure online banking. Some of our accounts waive the monthly service fee when you sign up online, and you'll never have to worry about lost or stolen mail containing your important financial information. Print out an eStatement Enrollment Form to submit to your local branch and go green today!
